Что (кто) такое kappa particle - определение

STATISTICAL MEASURE
Fleiss kappa; Fleiss' kappa statistic; Fleiss's kappa

Kappa organism
INHERITABLE CYTOPLASMIC SYMBIONT OF CERTAIN STRAINS OF PARAMECIUM
Kappa particle; Kappa Organism; Paramecin; Killer paramecia
In biology, Kappa organism or Kappa particle refers to inheritable cytoplasmic symbionts, occurring in some strains of the ciliate Paramecium. Paramecium strains possessing the particles are known as "killer paramecia".
Grammatical particle
TYPICALLY SHORT AND INDECLINABLE WORD WITH A GRAMMATICAL FUNCTION BUT NO CLEAR PART OF SPEECH
Grammatical particles; Particle (grammar); Particle (linguistics); Turkish particles
In grammar, the term particle (abbreviated ) has a traditional meaning, as a part of speech that cannot be inflected, and a modern meaning, as a function word associated with another word or phrase, generally in order to impart meaning. Although a particle may have an intrinsic meaning, and indeed may fit into other grammatical categories, the fundamental idea of the particle is to add context to the sentence, expressing a mood or indicating a specific action.
Elementary particle
QUANTUM PARTICLE HAVING NO KNOWN SUBSTRUCTURE; QUARK, ELECTRON, PHOTON, ETC.
Elementary particles; Fundamental particle; Elementary Particles; Fundamental particles; Structureless particle; Elementary Particle; Fundamental Particle; Elementary particle interaction
In particle physics, an elementary particle or fundamental particle is a subatomic particle that is not composed of other particles. Particles currently thought to be elementary include electrons, the fundamental fermions (quarks, leptons, antiquarks, and antileptons, which generally are matter particles and antimatter particles), as well as the fundamental bosons (gauge bosons and the Higgs boson), which generally are force particles that mediate interactions among fermions.

Fleiss' kappa

Fleiss' kappa (named after Joseph L. Fleiss) is a statistical measure for assessing the reliability of agreement between a fixed number of raters when assigning categorical ratings to a number of items or classifying items. This contrasts with other kappas such as Cohen's kappa, which only work when assessing the agreement between not more than two raters or the intra-rater reliability (for one appraiser versus themself). The measure calculates the degree of agreement in classification over that which would be expected by chance.

Fleiss' kappa can be used with binary or nominal-scale. It can also be applied to Ordinal data (ranked data): the MiniTab online documentation [1] gives an example. However, this document notes: "When you have ordinal ratings, such as defect severity ratings on a scale of 1–5, Kendall's coefficients, which account for ordering, are usually more appropriate statistics to determine association than kappa alone." Keep in mind however, that Kendall rank coefficients are only appropriate for rank data.
